Fudgy Brownies

With browned butter to elevate the taste

Ingredients
4 eggs
1 1/4 cup (106 grams) cocoa powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 TBSP vanilla
1 cup (227 grams) butter
2 1/4 cup (447 grams) sugar
1 1/2 cup (180 grams) all purpose flour
2 cups (340 grams) chopped chocolate (milk or dark)

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°

Add the eggs, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and vanilla to a bowl. Mix until it’s all combined (cocoa powder can be a bit hydrophobic so it’s easier to do with a rubber spatula)

In a small pot, add your butter and brown it (you’ll know when it turns a golden color but be careful not to burn it) then add your sugar and turn the heat off, stir until your sugar starts melting into it. (If you use organic sugar it won’t melt all the way but that’s okay)

Add the butter mixture to your cocoa mixture and mix well

Wait 5-10 minutes for the mixture to cool off before adding your flour and chopped chocolate (I like to set some aside to add to the top). Mix until just combined

Grease a 9x13 pan and add your batter. You can place parchment paper in to make it easier to cut up the brownies

Place in the oven and bake for 35-38 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with just moist crumbs

Let cool before cutting and enjoy
